Was the switch faulty or clogged? Come on, look at the pressure switch. But, where is it located? Different models have it in different areas. Find this in your washing machine model schematic. This pressure switch is a significant part. It controls the inlet valve to turn the water flow off.
Is your water tub empty now? Fill it with at least half with water. If it is filled from before, leave the tub like this. Don’t drain the water.
Now find the switch seeing the schematic. If you are running an electrically controlled washing machine, the switch should be under the tub somewhere around the sump. There are some wires. Get a multimeter. Pull the cables and test them when there is still water in the tub. If the inlet valve’s resistance is infinite, be sure that your water level switch is fine.
